The Children of the Lord Shall not Want or Lack
9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
This is a new form for me to do a study, without just letting the Lord flow through me; so we shall see how long this style will last before He takes hold of this work and goes to town with it.
Using a search engine on the Internet, I have entered into it this quote: “The Children of God will not want.” This was the heading it came up with:
From these we will see what we can deduce from all this. The first listing it came up with was Ps.34:10, but I included nine as well because it set up ten for clearer understanding of the topic we are looking at: Will in fact the children really not want or lack.
There is in fact, that there are two types of the children of God; the ones who are really saved and have found truth and are justified in the ways of the Lord Jesus, just as it was told to them to be found in His eyes: We will talk about this type later. Then again there is another type of the children of the lord who think they are saved and have found His salvation by listening to them who have not even found it for themselves, that came out of the Roman Catholic era or epoch of church History: You can read it for yourself here at this site:
This type are they who call themselves by His name and really know nothing about Him or His Grace, which is actually the power to live above sin, seen in Eph.5:27, we are to live an overcoming lifestyle, that is without blame or blemish, as Jesus said to do in Mt.5:48, to be ye perfect as our Father in Heaven is Perfect! Unfortunately some of these Priests in the Roman Catholic tradition have told their converts this is not possible for mankind to do, as some of them, even Luther told them they are saved by Grace and Faith alone! Well by doing that, the Roman Catholic just imprisoned their congregations to the Priests who are to keep giving them their absolutions and indulgences (After all they, the indulgences and the absolutions are for sale from your local Catholic Priest.) so that they can keep their steady cash flow going. No one wants a hungry Priest now do we? But in Apostle John’s teachings He tells us that if we have the Holy Spirit in us, we have no need of a teacher 1 Jn.2:20 & 27. We have the Lord God who had all the scriptures ever written teaching us, see 2 Pt.1:19-21, this is the same Spirit of Jesus Christ, as seen in 1 Pt.1:9-17, who is the First and the Last seen in Zech.12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of Grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him: This was written 530-550 years before the very fact, so this too was Prophetic in its nature; we see in Rev.19:10 who that same Spirit that I am talking about belongs to, as we read it here in Revelations 19: we see the marriage of the Lamb of God, to His bride the True Saints of God; who have made themselves ready for their Groom: Starting at verse 5 as St. John saw it: 5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready! (See 2 Tm.2:19-22, shows us we have to do something, so the Lord will use us as His vessel. The vessel has to be Holy, Sanctified and Consecrated for His use, it must be cleansed Jn.15:3 by His words to us! They must be living words that live and be active in our lives, Col.3:17, explains this as well.)
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. (Righteousness as Jesus said to John the Baptist, “So all Righteousness can be fulfilled by Jesus’ Baptism, He joined the Old Testament with the New Testament, so all Righteousness can be fulfilled in Him! See Mt.3:15, where this was spoken by Jesus. John the Baptist is the last Old Testament Prophet of God, who was in all actuality the Spirit of Elijah as called out in Mt.17:11-12, who was to prepare the way for the Lord. Mal.4:5 & Is.40:3).
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me: These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus, worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy! (See Mt.10:16-20, here as well).
We see here that Saint John the Apostle of Jesus Christ fell down to worship another prophet, the same as him only in his glorified immortal state, but yet just another prophet the same as John. John was told to get up, for it was not becoming to bow down but before the Lord God only (See Ex.20:1-5-ffs). In this case we see that is none other than Jesus Christ who is the very same Spirit of all Prophecy, which these Holy Sacred words of God were written by, for we see in Is.55: that the words of God will not come back void, from that which they were sent out to do. That is why we too need to be taught of or by God. We see God is a Spirit, Jn.4:24, the Holy Spirit, because we have been told to be Holy as He is Holy, from the Old Testament (Ex.19:6) to the New, seen in 1 Pt.1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. (See 2 Cor.5:19-21 for a clearer definition of the God in Jesus reconciling the world unto Himself by Jesus!).
3 *Blessed is the God and Father the Lord of us Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, *This is how it reads in the Greek original. Then all scripture goes back to KJV, in # 4 below.
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written: Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (Which we too are to follow Jn.14:6 says so! As well as Jn.14:15 and many other like scriptures, that no one wants to preach on!)
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, (Jn.1:18 see Greek Original language for a true textual context that is of God in the translation of this verse! The Begotten, Incarnated, or Manifested God, 1 Tm.3:16.).
21 Who by him do believe in God that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. (See Lk.1:35, that Spirit that was in Christ Jesus without measure seen in Jn.3:25-ffs there as well! As well as all of John chapter 10, Jesus has the power to lay His Life down as well as pick it back up again too! That is why He came to put to death, the death sentence of sin, and to have power to be above sin by His Grace, to live in all the ways of His words to us; see Ac.20:24 & 32 on what the word Grace is tied directly to, which is His word to us: Jn.1:1-18, that the Word became flesh and we beheld His glory (Jn.1:17). The glory that will not be given to another, Is.42:8 and 48:11-12, that belongs to God only, seen in 2 Cor.4:6 as well as Jn.11:40, because Jesus’ words are life, Jn.6:68, seen in Jn.11:25-26, if they had known this they would not have crucified the LORD of Glory, 1 Cor.2:8! See Is.40:3 on the topic of who Jesus is, as the I Am, Ex.3:14 seen in Jn.8:58, and if we do not know Jesus as our God with us, Mt.1:23, we too will die in our sins Jn.8:24!)
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. (Mt.24:35 etc. God’s words are eternal for He changes not Mal.3:6, see Amos 3:3 as well.).
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
The reason I am going through all this preliminary teachings is that if we are not saved in the truth of who Jesus really is as the One True God 1 Jn.5:20, all of this teaching and all of those who think they are saved who are not, living with the Roman Catholic tradition of the Trinity, which is a lie, then all of this is for nothing! Then they are really in want; aren’t they? See Zech.14:9, this is true Monotheism!
Back to the Topic of Want or Lack:
You see the true children of God know to be content with just that which is needed, as Jesus said, be happy first of all that your names are written in the book of life! That has to come first, then that you have food and raiment, 1 Tm.6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. (See Rev.14:13, this will follow us, and by which many will be judged by! See Rev.22:1-21),
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. (We will talk about some other scriptures from this scripture later.).
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (See 1 Jn.2:15-17, which in all actuality is the lust to covet anything, to make it your God or anything that comes between you and Him, this is being covetous that will separate you from the love you had for your God. He needs to be our first thought and love or we just stepped back into destruction, Heb.10:19-39! See Mt.10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. He has to be first in our lives in everything we do and say!)
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (See 1 Tm.6:13-16 and see and understand that the flesh of Jesus is still under subjection to the Holy Spirit, till He has been Glorified, then 1 Cor.15:28 takes effect! So God can be all in all in Jesus, Mt.28:18, which has been given all power and authority, after He has been glorified, when He puts the Death Sentence to death, for us!)
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me!
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me!
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it!
40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward (Rev.19:10, for you are sealed by the Holy Spirit, for God’s use! Eph.1:13-14; 2 Cor.1:20-22); and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. (See Mt.5:17-20, for only if your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and the Pharisees can you enter into His Kingdom! See Heb.12:14, without Holiness you cannot enter into His Kingdom either! Holiness and Righteousness are required in order to enter into the Kingdom of God! This is His Commandment to us and mine as well now that He said it! It too has now become my gospel as well!)
42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
If He is not first in our lives, which is Jesus, our lives are being lived for nothing but pain and suffering that will come later: This too is seen in Mark chapter 9:1-ffs! You know where it talks about your worm dieth not but in the Greek it makes it sound as if you are that worm that dieth not, in the fires that are never quenched, you know as is for eternity, the wrath of God is being poured out upon all them who will not receive Him and His salvation. All others are like the women that are seen in Is.4:1, they want the name of salvation but they want it their way. They will eat their own food, and they will wear their own clothes, they want God’s salvation their way not His way! All they will find is the verses of the Lord as in Lk.6:46, as well as all the verses below Mt.7:13-14, those that are seen in verses 15-22, that is what they will find for themselves, all His verses of condemnation, for they are mere reprobates, living a lie of hypocrisy! They worship a god of their own vain religious imaginations. This too was warned of by St. John as well in 1 Jn.5:21!
Verse 8 of 1 Tm.6, also leads us to Prov.30:8, this verse was not listed in the Search Engines findings. So let us see what it has to say that is related to 1 Tm.6:8:
Proverbs 30 King James Version (KJV)
1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell? Easy, that name is above every name: for that name is Yeshua, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is LORD of all Ac.10:36, seen in Ac.2:36! See Jn.5:30-*44*-47 in regards to this topic.
5 Every word of God is pure (He cannot lie Num.23:19, 1 Sam.15:29, Tit.1:2 and Heb.6:18, for our God is the same yesterday, today, forever, Heb.13:8 & 9, as well as all of His words to us Mal.3:6 because He changes not: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
6 Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. (See Ro.3:1-ffs, Deu.4:2, Deu.5:31-33; 17:20; 28:14; Josh.1:7; 23:6; Prov.4:27; Gal.1:8-9 Heb.13:8-9 and Rev.22:18-19.)
7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say: Who is the Lord? Or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. We only make it to Heaven when we run our race by His rules and Commandments!
Let us go back to Ps.34:
Starting at verse 1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him!
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing!
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? (If you desire to see these things; then here is what you’re going to have to do!)
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry!
16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth!
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles!
18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit!
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all!
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. (A Messianic verse.)
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate!
Now the thing about Psalms 34 is that it was written by King David, when he was not yet King of Israel, but was running from King Saul, that God had repented that He had ever made Saul King at all, due to His disobedience, as stated in 1 Sam.15:22-23, read the entire story. As soon as Saul was made King, and even before, he had a history of not keeping instructions given to him by the prophet of God, who was Samuel.
So we have to do a little searching out for the real truth in this Psalm, did David write it before he came to Abimelech, when he made as if he were a crazy man? Was this to keep Abimelech from hiring David as a Mercenary? Or to keep Abimelech from killing him because David wondered into his territory, while David and his men were looking for food? Who was Abimelech anyway? And why Psalms 34 was ever written to begin with; after all some of the scriptures used in it are in reference to the Messiah to come; such as none of His bones were ever broken, verse number 20.
The story behind Psalm 34 will be found in 1 Sam.21:1-ff through further chapters as well; when David was separated from Saul due to the evil spirit that Saul was possessed with, thinking David was going to kill him and take his seat as King of Israel. This was all due to pride and ego, after the maidens started singing the song of David. The words went something like this; Saul killed his thousands but David killed his ten-thousands, which hurt Saul’s masculinity! So Saul started to believe that the people liked David more than Him. After all it was David, which killed Goliath, the Philistine! After all nobody offered to go out and fight for Israel to put the Philistines under them. So that all Philistine would have to become their slaves or to put them under tribute. No one but David who was full of faith, that the fight belonged to the Lord of Hosts, and not of his own. David was the weapon in the hand of the Lord that day.
Also there is a little problem with Abimelech here as well in verse 1 of Psalm 34. For Abimelech was the Priest of Nob, where David in his haste left without weapons or rations. He went into Nob seeking food for him and a few men that he ran into on the way, or were set to be his body guards that had sworn and oath to him, to fight with him until they die. This also were spoken of in 1 Sam.21:1-15, David left Abimelech without acting crazy in the least.
When David left Abimelech the Priest of Nob, he headed for Gath, this is where Achish the King of Gath was. This is where the town and all its people started saying the same thing about David; that got Saul upset at David. David killed his ten thousands and Saul his thousands, so David acted the part of a crazed fiend who drooled when he talked; this too made the King of Gath think he was crazy and sent him and his men away. After all it would be unkind in the least to hurt even the poorest of God’s creatures, who have lost their minds wouldn’t it? But we do it day after day here in the United States of America, while calling wrong right and right wrong! We seek after our own pleasures in America without regards to the very words of life! That will judge us all in the end of days (See Jn.12:48-50 & Deu.18:15-22), for judgment starts with the saints of God first, 1 Pt.4:17-19. If the Righteous scarcely be saved, what will the ungodly do and where will they go? We all know the answer to that little question; which has with it, a big Eternal Consequences, don’t we! They will go to Hell, where the KJV says their worm dieth not, and the Greek says they being that worm, after all man is but a worm, before His Great God. After they have immortality they will never die, therefore that is the reason the Fire is never quenched, as we see in 2 Pt.3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying: Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men! (This is what the world was made for, by our Great God, who knows the end from the beginning, that mankind would sin and all that is in it would have to be purified with fire, the next time, for He used water the first time to purify the world. He promised us He would never do that again and sealed His covenant with us with the Rainbow, Gen.9:13-17.).
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (Man will be on Earth for seven thousand years. Six thousand will man reign but on the seventh as in the Sabbath, Christ will reign for a thousand years, and we who are His will rule with Him with a rod of Iron, Rev.2:25-29.)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (See Lk.24:47, this is where Ac.2:1-4 is seen in Jn.3:3-8. As well as Ac.4:12, which is the commandment of Jesus in Lk.24:47! That too is fulfilled in Mt.28:19-20, and carried out in Ac.2:38-40 as well!).
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (Now many think that will happen at the first coming of the Lord but this is for another time, that which will be in the end of time, at the end of Christ’s reign, at the end of the Millennium, that will be the day and the hour no man knows but I think we will by that time when it will come; He always brings it to His prophets first so all know it is of Him and is of His doing it. Then will all the first and second heavens be rolled up as a scroll! Then time will be no more and the second judgment will commence, Phil.2:10! Only they who had not made it in the catching away, and those who failed to keep the words of the Lord during the Millennium of Jesus Christ who failed to keep all that is said in the word of the instruction book will fail to make it to the end of the reign of Christ, because they are a stiff-necked people! Then all who have been put away either in the waters, or killed by evil men, who were evil, and all those who heeded not the words of God and were fighting in wars, who kept not Ro.12:1-21 or Mt.5:1-48, will find the wrath of God abiding on them that are said to be asleep, will find their judgment at this time. All those who made it to the catching away of the first judgment will be kept from this judgment as well! See Rev.20:5-6-ffs this shows us how these things will rap-up. Then comes the New Heavens and the New Earth and the New Jerusalem, which will come down from Heaven! Then the New order or Covenants will be set up, very much like that which is seen in chapter 22!)
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (What type of people are we to be? All who call themselves a Christian need to look up this word in the KJV and study the meanings of conversation and how many different words, and its meanings they have for this in the Greek; Check it out:
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (Which will come after the Millennium reign; Without Holiness and Righteousness which is Godliness none shall enter into the Kingdom of God, which will come after the Millennium, Jn.14:1-4. 2 Pt.3:10 & 13 seen here.)
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. (Well that is going to be a tough one to keep when they are preaching today that no one can live life without sinning, isn’t it? You can’t unless you have been Born again of God’s Spirit of a Righteous Love of God 1 Jn.5:18, then and only then can you too have the Love of God in you that passes all understanding, this is what Jesus was talking about in Jn.3:3-8 and to be blown where the Spirit blows you where He needs us to go for Him! That is being led by the Spirit seen in Ro.8:1-ffs. This must be seen first in the regeneration process, Ac.2:1-4, that is what caught the attention of the council in Jerusalem for the house of Cornelius, they who were with Peter heard Cornelius and his household speaking and praising the Lord in tongues other than their natural languages; Ac.10:1-48, seen in Ac.11:1-18, that is the confirmation of the Holy Spirit, the speaking in tongues! That is the test of the spirits 1 Jn.4:1, we are to test the spirits to see from where they come, just as it says prove all things: 1Thes.5:21, Ac.17:10-11!).
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. (Why do they wrest the scriptures Peter was talking about here? Because they have not the Holy Spirit in them who wrote them in Paul’s heart, to give to the newly formed Christians who were coming out of pagan religious rights and beliefs, as well as all those Greeks who have read Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle as well as the Neo-Gnostics as well as the Neoplatonism (Catholicism) spreading about, that the Christian Gospel had to contend with then as well, even as today, that is seen in the History of the Jews:
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. (See 1 Cor.5:1-13, see that no man take away your new found salvation, with another gospel that is no gospel Gal.1:8-9, let them be a cursed if they preach or teach another gospel to anyone!).
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
Means never stop growing in the Spirit and of knowledge of Jesus Christ until all the gifts of His Spirit are yours, keep growing in maturity! See Jer.31:31-34; Is.54:13, [Jn.6:45; 1 Cor.2:10]; 1 Thes.4:9; [1 Jn.2:20 & 27], with all this said and much, much more; we have among us a group of religious people who have a very good show of holiness and godliness but there is only one problem with them all; they have the form of godliness, but no power to live that overcoming lifestyle of the flesh and their covetous or contentious flesh; and no covetous or contentious person will enter into Heaven! You have to mortify the flesh that wars against the spirit, Gal.5:17 (16-26; Ro.8:13.). Those that are really of the Lord and even their children will not be wanting or lacking the things that are really needed, even bread; Ps.37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. From start to end of Psalms # 37: Those who walk with the Lord our God Jesus Christ will not have need of anything, for they who have learned to fear the Lord our God! To fear is to have awesome respect for the Lord or in other words, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of all WISDOM:
Ps.37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.
18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved forever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Our faith is best established on the trusting of His words to us, because He cannot lie to us. We can break His covenant and lose our salvation but it will never be because of Him backing away from us!
See Jms.4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? (Man’s Philosophies of today!).
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (See Porv.15:8; Prov.21:27 and Prov.28:9, God will not listen to the prayers of sinners, they are an abomination to Him of a sacrifice that is tainted with blemishes and spots on it! See Hag.1:5-7.).
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. (Flesh waring against the Spirit again, but first they have to have the Holy Spirit Lk.11:13 they have to ask for it!).
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (Because you have not separated yourself from the unclean generation or their customs and evil ways, 1 Jn.5:19, Ac.2:40 & 2 Cor.6:14-18!).
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain: The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? (Gal.5:1-ffs).
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Those who have a broken and contrite heart that is pure they will see God Mt.5:8 & 2 Tm.2:19-22, who do God’s will, Mt.12:48-50, Lk.11:28, Jn.8:51, Jn.14:15 & Jn.15:20 etc.).
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (Study to rightly divide the word of God, study the Greek and the Hebrew of it!).
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. (Look at the world around you in its wickedness 1 Jn.5:19 who are lost and headed for an eternity of Hell’s Fires!).
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (Ac.2:38-40 the Keys to Salvation, Rev.2:4-5, Repent and do the first works, love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, strength, spirit, and anything you have; give it to Him to use for His glory!).
Now that is what we are to be doing when He returns for a people called by in His name, we are to be found winning the lost to the Lord Mk.8:34-38, we are His servants doing what it is He has directed us to do for Him; that is our required labours Lk.17:7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say: We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do!
See Ecc.12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.
9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd! (Those taught of God, or by God’s own Spirit, Jn.14:26 and Jn.16:13, then will you know all things that are needed of us!).
12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man!
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil!
And in closing, last but not least Mal.3:16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
There are two kinds of Christians today, the ones who actually know who Jesus is and actually serve him as a faithful servant, and who keep all His commandments, sayings, precepts, judgments, statutes, and His decrees Is.28:9-12, they will be those who have found His rest and then there are those seen in Is.28:13-ffs. We see two kinds of servants in Mt.24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing! 47 Verily I say unto you: That he shall make him ruler over all his goods!
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart: My lord delayeth his coming; (Then you have the other kind of Christian by belief only, who has not engaged their faith with the proofs of works, Jms.2:1-26 or 2 Tm.3:14-17, NOT, living in all the words of God to us! MT.4:4 & Lk.4:4 or Jn.14:15 and Jn.15:20!).
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Which one will you be in the Last Days; that we are in now?
Remember Rev.2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Unfortunately we have so many today that can’t even remember how to do that! The First Works!

Written in the Last Days, 8/25/2015, before our Lord Jesus’ return.
Or is this the Day of your New Life of Eternal Salvation, Calling on the Name of Jesus Christ who is Lord of all and knowing Him now as you Immanuel, the Great I Am? Then you stand a chance of receiving His Spirit when you know Him in Truth, Jn.4:23-24, seen in Jn.3:3-8! Only by His Spirit are you sealed and found justified, 1 Cor.6:11! Do you speak in tongues Ac.2:14? If not you had better start working on that, it is mandatory, Lk.11:13, Ac.11:1-18, that is His Grace!
